Chemi-Pharm CHEMISEPT G – colourless alcohol-based skin antiseptic for pre-operative preparation.

Description:
CHEMISEPT G has a broad bactericidal and fungicidal effect, eliminating Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (including Mycobacterium tuberculosis) and fungi. It inactivates both enveloped and non-enveloped viruses such as HBV, HIV, rotavirus and adenovirus. The product contains purified, low-volatile ethanol to prevent respiratory irritation.

After application, the product provides a long-lasting antimicrobial effect for up to three hours, creating an environment unsuitable for microbial growth, while the skin’s natural microflora recovers quickly. CHEMISEPT G is non-irritating and, thanks to its colourless composition, is also suitable for use in cosmetic and plastic surgery.

Application:

• Pre-operative skin preparation:
Treat the surgical area with CHEMISEPT G using sterile forceps and a swab soaked in the solution. Rub thoroughly over the skin. Perform antisepsis twice, each time allowing a contact time of 1.5 minutes (total 3 minutes). The incision drape may only be applied to dry skin.
For aseptic operations, start from the incision site and move toward the periphery. For septic procedures, start from the periphery and move toward the infected area.

• Skin disinfection before injection or blood sampling:
Moisten a swab with CHEMISEPT G and wipe the area. Use a new swab for the second application and allow to dry. Contact time – 30 seconds.

• Skin disinfection before puncture, arthroscopy, cannulation or intra-articular injections:
Moisten a swab or tampon with the solution and disinfect the skin in the procedure area. Repeat using a new swab. Contact time – 30 seconds.

Effectiveness:
CHEMISEPT G has been tested against BVDV (HCV surrogate), Vaccinia, Adeno, Rota and Herpes viruses, confirming efficacy against all enveloped viruses, including HBV, HCV, HIV, influenza (H5N1) and Herpes simplex.
Complies with EN 13727, EN 13624, EN 14348 and EN 12791 standards.

Precautions:
Contains a biocide. Read the instructions before use. Highly flammable liquid and vapour. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. Do not smoke. Store tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated area.

Ethanol – 75 g (active ingredient)
Quaternary ammonium compounds – benzyl C12–18 alkyldimethyl chlorides and C12–14 alkyl[(ethylphenyl)methyl]dimethyl chlorides – 0.1 g (active ingredients)
